gathering exception data??

I have recently just installed Rise of Nations thrones and patriots. First I tried out the tutorial, played for about 5 minutes then got this error error. I googled the problem and found that there was a patch to fix this error so I downloaded the patch and tried to play the game again. This time the game was fine until there was a battle and then same error came up. I think this might be because of my power supply(Ultra x-finity 600w :/) because after the error occurs the fan on my power supply starts to speed up(wtf?). Or could it be something else?
