My sister just got this new gateway computer and this is what she is saying is happening

'It won't let me into things at times, like microsoft works and some times jit wont let me into the internet pages even tho the internet is on", no error message," it doesn't due it right away after i have been on the net for a little while".

It could be a virus or spyware slowing her machine down. Does she have any type of anti-virus or ad removers installed? This may help, but it could be something else.

Hi there, sorry to here your sister is having problems. I'm thinking we can probably help her .... but we're going to need a lot more information. Your first post wasn't all that descriptive. While its hard to say without more information, but bryan1028 may be on to something when he's asking about malware related problems. So, maybe either you or your sister can give us more detail about this .... including how long she's had this computer, when it started happening .... and if she's using any antivirus software. This information could prove to be critical in helping her solve her problems.

Next

If you look in my sig below, you'll see where it says "HijackThis." Click on it and download the program. Install it in its own directory like C:\HijackThis, then run the scan. At this point don't do anything other than save it to a log. Paste those results in your next post. Either myself or Schadenfroh will be along to help.
