Gateway Serie M Fan failure

I have a Gateway serie M 6340u. I have a CPU fan failure but I change it for another new fan and the messege is the same. Somebody know What I can Do? Other way, I can put the hard disk in another laptop in order to I can run all my programs?

Is it still under warranty? Did you get a fan error alert message?

Most likely the only way you could use the HDD in another laptop is if it was basically the same (hardware) as the Gateway serie M 6340u.

to fix this problem, remove the primary battery. next open the panel that holds the hdd. remove the wireless card. remove the CMOS battery (its on a 2pin cable). let it reset (1-2min) and reconnect everything.
