Gateway LT2022u Netbook Battery

I noticed after purchasing this netbook (newegg sale panic purchase! haha) that it only comes with a 3-cell battery, giving about 3 hours of battery life according to specs. Is it possible to just replace the battery with a 6-cell? How do netbook battery standards work? If it's even possible to change it, do I have to get one specifically from Gateway, or would any 6-cell netbook battery work?

You will need to get the correct battery. Just like any other laptop, basicly all netbooks are stripped down laptops, the battery size and shape will very from one manufacture to another. It can also be different from one model to another. So you'll need to do some research to see if there is even a 6 cell battery availible for your netbook.
