Got my gf's laptop that was acting like a slug. I was messing around with a few start up programs, etc. I did a diagnostic start up. Loaded into windows and then I continued looking at things. Went back to normal start up and proceeded to rebooting. It rebooted into windows and nothing was working(as far as sound, wifi, usb ports, etc.)
I'm trying to grab some pics off for her so I can format with a new win install but USB devices won't even recognize. I went to device manager and nothing shows up, just a white blank box.
Tried booting into safemode and it says on her account and admin account that this copy of windows needs to be reg before it proceeds and kicks me back to the log in screen. It's registered...?

finally got the flash drive to pick up although the sound and other drivers are not working. if i can get the data off without problems i'll just format.
