My buddy has a gateway laptop and of course as soon as something went wrong... he called me because he thinks i'm his personal IT guy. Problem is I have a ton of experience trouble shooting desktops and 0 experience trouble shooting laptops.
He told me it was sitting on a table plugged in, and when he came back to use it the computer was off. When he presses the power button nothing happens. The light is sitll on that indicates the power plug is still connected but that's it. I had him take out the battery and try to boot it without... but that did nothing.
Is there anything else he can try before he has to call Gateway and probably have it sent back. It's out of warranty... they only give you 3 months (figures).
