I'm guessing it's not possible to change the video card on this baby? You can on some of the Dells, for instance.

The 8 meg video card is a deal killer for me. With the way prices are falling through the floor these days a 16 meg card is the minimum I would accept.

i yearn for the day when laptop components become standardized enough wehre we can ssemple them ourselves like we do with desktops...:( I REALLY dislike being forced to go though Dell and the like to purchase one.

The 9550 models come with 32MB Video cards, but they start at $1399 (after $100 coupon). I didn't see any 16Mb's though.
