It always hangs when you get to the black screen that describes firewire and usb.
It stops at one of those, I can't remember and just stops working.
I don't have any special usb/firewire devices connected.

Could it be because I have a wireless keyboard/mouse that uses the USB receiver?
I don't want to try again unless I'm for sure because my list of OS's already has two dead Ubuntu OS's listed

-EDIT-

Weird, so I run a defective disk check first then run the installation and it automatically goes over the USB problem and runs Ubiquity.
It boots up saying something about installation 1 of 7, but no keyboards or mice work.
I tried to use the Chicony wireless keyboard that came with the Gateway and the mouse, no luck. Finally, I tried a regular basic keyboard and mouse that had previously worked in Ubuntu on another computer but, it just does not work. I do not even get a response from mashing and holding keys.
