Gateway GT5028 media center desktop

circiut city has this Gateway, is it a decent machine, is it worth buying, there is a 70 MIR also. I would be adding some sort of PCIe video card to it in the near future. OR should I just go with my original idea and biuld a new machine myself.

I was watching the AMD HP offerings that go from $550 or so to $1,000 that are based on the ATI Xpress 200. It seems these new AMD Gateways are mostly Nvidia 6100 based and have a similiar price range. I would favor Nvidia in general, but would like to know what Mobo and PSU are being used and the other specs.

The last I checked http://forums.amd.com/index.php?showfor...rt_key=last_post&topicfilter=all&st=30 had a huge thread on thread older HP a1130n model, but I've found nothing on the Gateway yet ... Sooo if someone has a Gateway, tellus what's in it

Nothing will meet your needs better than building your own, but with all that comes for $500 to $750 it doesn't leave much to need.
