Gateway FX7811 Died?

To keep a long story short, I restarted my computer within Windows Vista 64bit edition and just kept seeing a blank screen. I thought this was weird. I powered on and off but nothing was appearing on screen. It's not even posting. Sad.

I've only had it a month and it's already giving me issues. Gateway support is not very good as well. I have to send it in for support and they say the turn around time may about 15 days from when they receive it. I should've just bought a Dell instead.

It's going to cost me about 30-40 dollars to ship this brick in. BTW, if you ever call up Gateway for support, don't even bother and just ask for a damn RMA asap. Their reps know nothing.

yep. from what i've been hearing, gateway tech support is abysmal

is it possible to return it to the store you got it from?

I thought their support was fine. I had a bad hard drive, so they sent me a new one (no questions asked). I installed, it sent back the old one...the end. It took a while for the HD to get here (which did suck), but other than that, it was fine.

It's been about a month since I've bought it. I think Best Buy's return policy is 14 days only. I didn't buy the extended warranty, assuming that Gateway would be okay, since I've never had any laptop die on me only a month after initially purchasing it. Now I wish I had bought the extended warranty!
