I think the WH is just the designation for it being sold in Canada (has to have French and English for the manuals and safety notice stuff). So all the US ones should be W and all the Canadian ones WH.

can you hook up an xbox with hdmi to this gateway 24 incher???

theres an adapter from hdmi to dvi right? cause all i see from the photos.. the gateway doesnt have hdmi input.

hopefully, when the xbox with hdmi comes out, i will have other alternatives.
im looking for hdmi, hdcp, and 1080p in one package. would be nice to have atsc tuner built in too!

dennilfloss, the only difference we can figure thus far is that the WH one is a Canadian version.

I personally feel that for the price, it's the best 1920x1200 LCD one can buy right now in Canada.
For those those incredibly picky though, it's not perfect (none really are).

No 1:1 scaling for the alternative video inputs (for stuff like teh Xbox etc.) isn't a big deal unless you need it, of course.

The other issue is something my buddy crypticasylum posted in that forum about: shadowing/smearing of contrasting colors.

I personally don't find it to be very noticeable, but he couldn't stand it, & eventually returned his, since the display model at the store had the same issue.

His comments:

I think only three people have reported this issue though thus far, & i believe it's somewhat due to the majority of us not even noticing it.

Could you explain a little what made you decide to pass?. I saw it too in the Futureshop flyer and did a double take. This monitor is not widely available in Canada, mostly because Gateway doesn't directly sell here.

I see your point. For $ 700, one has to be certain about the product. If you could choose a 24-inch monitor for C$ 700 right now, which one would it be?

You must have seen the Dell 2407FP at C$ 699 during the Holidays and decided to pass too...
