I think I need some driver for this monitor instead of the standard "Plug & Play Monitor" driver in XP. Without it I have no option to up the refresh rate beyond 60Hz.

Is there another way to do this? I have a ASUS Nvidia 7600GS with the latest ForceWare. When I try the custom resolutions/rates settings it keeps saying that it cannot create the custom refresh rate. I know the monitor supports 75Hz refreshing.

Anyone else have this monitor where did you get a driver or INF. There is no driver on the included CD just the EzTune software. What do I do?

Look on page 26 of your user's guide.

If this is not exactly your model, find the section under heading "Video modes".

You can see that the only frequency available under the native resolution for DVI is 60Hz.
So, if you want a frequency higher than 60Hz, you need to use VGA. Are you?

refresh rates don't matter on LCD's cause LCD's don't "refresh" the picture. refresh rates are for CRT's only because the electron gun has to repaint the picture 85 times a second. but LCD's have individual pixels which either let in or don't let in light coming from the backlight. VGA can support up to 75Hz but it makes no difference. DVI can only support 60Hz as far as i know.
