Im on my 2nd Gateway fpd2185w widescreen lcd. This is my first experience with an lcd. I hate them. period.
There is no servere/noticeable spot lights from any of the corners, but a huge circular area in the middle of the screen that is CLEARLY darker from the corners. EXTREMELY visable when looking dead on. (im not sure the average consumer would notice, but i do) How do they expect anyone to do any type of video editing or even casual photoshop/image work when you have to look at an angle or drag the image to a corner in order to see its actual color? I guess ill have to put my time line in Premiere directly in the center and my 2 monitors on the right and left bottom corners.
Ive seen the $700 mac cinema displays and the image quality has equal lighting across the entire screen.
So, am i going to have to pay $100 more to get a decent LCD that doesnt suck? Or downgrade to the Dell2005?
any suggestions? comments?
