Gateway desktop system motherboard

Would a Gateway desktop system use a propritery motherboard? If so are they any good?

It might in a small form factor or slim chassis, but not likely in the mini or mid towers. You'll have to provide a model number to be sure. Gateway often uses Intel OEM reference boards, same as Dell.

Most of the OEM pre-buit's mobos are pretty good. I've seen Asus, Foxconns and Intel boards over the past year.

The BIOSs and support on the other hand ... :roll:
