The 64MB Chip in your system is probobly and EDO DIMM which you cant mix normal SDRAM in. That board should take either so take out the 64MB DIMM and Try the 128MB By itself.

The system doesn't have any EDO DRAM slots and has a Pentium II chip. I am under the impression that even though this is a PC133 CAS2 128MB SDRAM chip that it will also run at PC100 CAS3 or whatever speed the motherboards wants it to run at to work? Yes, I have tried it only by itself and the BIOS doesn't have any useful settings.

Probably the SDRAM density is different from what is compatible with the mobo. Make sure you get the 16Mbit x 64.

Thats odd. I put 2 128 meg meg PC133 SDRAM DIMMS in an old Gateway LX chipset mobo along with the original 32 meg Dimm and it works just fine. The BX should not be a problem.

No Jiggz its 16Meg x 64 Unbuffered just as the specs on the motherboard say... Could this be some bad RAM? I ordered several chips and one other identical 128 chip worked fine in a Pentium II Compaq with its older 64MB chip.
