I have a 3 Year old (I think) Gateway NV5807U

I Was lucky enough to buy it at about the same time a Windows 7 came out so I was eligible for a "Free" (Had to pay S&H) upgrade disc

I installed the day I received it (I did not really use the computer until I got the discs as I never liked Vista)

Anyway it is now my primary computer as my Main Box is in parts (Had to RMA the Motherboard + Ram)

Read Below This Line if you are impatient

So I have it hooked up to my 1080P Monitor (Bleh 1080P for a monitor)

So I have Windows 7 x64 SP1 (Installed from a Slip-streamed DVD as the Windows Update always failed)

Anyway it is slow when I am doing ANY thing CPU intensive (My chief complaint is Winamp slowing the machine down)

I use Winamp (I KnowD: but I have used it since the Ver 2.x days)
and my major annoyance is every time the track changes the computer will freeze until the track starts playing

Anyway could it be the crappy Intel GMA? or is a piece of hardware at fault? I can use Winamp fine on the built in display just fine with no slowdowns

So is this the Intel's crappy GMA or is this computer going to go belly up soon

Thanks and sorry for the long post

PS I am using EventGhost to control Winamp with an external KB & Mouse (Logitech MX5500)

Thanks again

OK I fixed the problem (I also installed the newest Version)

Winamp was running twice
and one instance was frozen
I guess even Windows 7 Needs to be restarted once in a while
