Gateway 7811 FX - Screen is Cloudy, suggestions?

When looking at the screen of my newly purchased 7811FX laptop, the left side has an area of white blotchy haze. It's hardly visible from straight on and gets more visible the further to the left you move your head.

Someone on newegg reviewed the notebook and said that it just requires some use and will eventually go away. However, I've heard of similar things with LCD TVs and people say that it does NOT go away.

Please give your input on the subject. I'm trying to decide whether to return, sell, or keep this computer.

BTW. it is a beast of a laptop.
 
If it were me, and it was my laptop, I would be calling Gateway. I cant stand sub par products. You paid for a working laptop, now while working, the display is not up to snuff. Obviously I can't decide for you how to approach this, but in my opinion, Gateway deserves a call, and an explanation of what your seeing, they SHOULD offer to exchange the unit or repair it under warranty. Not having seen it, and not knowing precisely how bad it is, i can't say how far or how hard I would push to have this done, but if its noticeable enough to bother me, I would push pretty hard.
