Cool. That laptop will retail for $1550 (hopefully before the instant rebates). I am disappointed by the lack of a better GPU, Gateway is completely ignoring the gaming potential of their product line :(

The Radeon 9550 is the same thing as the Radeon 9600 found in the eMachine descendants, just underclocked. That is as much gaming potential as you can get for that money.

Not true, I priced a Dell 9300 at about $1500 after coupon with the 6800go. If this one had a 128mb 9700 but was priced a bit higher, I would camp out to get one :(

Ditto Jassi " If this one had a 128mb 9700 but was priced a bit higher, I would camp out to get one"

It's still a great machine, and after best buy rebates it'll probably be running at $1249 in no time. Thats the price i got my 7422gx a few months ago, and it still holds up as a good deal. Just like everyone else, I'm still waiting (since I got my m6805, I upgrade about once a year) for gateway to upgrade the video on this bad boy. The 9700 is in the specs of the manufaturer (arima) for this model, but I doubt we'll ever see it. After the 7426 I'd bet gateway will start producing a Turion notebook (hopefully not with one of those garbage xpress 200 integrated pci express chipsets). I just hope they stick with Arima as their AMD 64 oem partner, and not go back to being an intel only laptop company.

That is true, I forgot about the 9300 and coupons.
The nice thing about BBY is that they usually run good deals on the 74xx series with INSTANT rebates. :D

my m6805 can play doom 3 and HL2 just fine with a 1 gig memory upgrade and I can't really ask for more. But stick a 9700 in these suckers and it'll scream. Put an X800 in there and it'll shoot fire out of its mouth and lightning bolts out of its arse. :)
