Gateway 700X PSU replacement

Alright, I've had it!!!!!!!!!! This system is just too damn loud... I have a Gateway 700X bought in Feb '02 with a 250 PSU in the "old" grey and white tower case. I really want to buy a new, QUIET PSU. Anyone have experience in replaceing the PSU in this unit?? ... Thinking SilenX or Antec. My goal is silence - surprisingly, I don't need the power (firewire, dvd drive, dvd+-rw, 2 7200 RPM HDD, SB Live!, Radeon 8500, all USB ports used) - I must be maxing this thing out!

Its easy its a tool less case. Any p4 compatible ATX power supply works. There's a green latch that you just pull down after you have everything unplugged. Pull the power supply out towards you. Easy as that.

Really? That's great news! After having being very disappointed in my old "proprietary" Dell, I'm glad I can just replace the PSU in this unit. Thanks for the info.
