Just came across this will looking for a power supply. Seems hot to me, but I am a little out of the loop on Flat Panels. Sorry if this is a repost, but I did check first.

Gateway FPD 1800 18" Flat Panel LCD Color Monitor, 0.28mm pitch, Factory Refurbished Like New
MTR-FPD-1800Regular price: $699.00Sale price: $569.00 +(25.44 for UPS ground to Michigan) = $594.44 Shipped. 1 year warranty.

Looks like this is similar to the deal in this .thread although cheaper without the video card.

I don't know anything about refurb gateway FPs and dead pixel issues, but this seems like a decent deal assuming that there are no (or very few) dead pixels.

Added DVI only to the title.

EXman:
The $15 for a "guarantee of no DOA" is a choice you can make. Very few, if any, companies even give you this choice. Most, including this company have a "normal" policy that, if you receive a defective item, you can return for refund and you will of course pay the shipping (and sometimes a "restocking fee"). There are some (well, a few anyway) companies that will refund your return shipping; unfortunately not many. The $15.00 no DOA option is a way to not have to pay the return shipping if it is defective. Kind of an insurance policy I guess.
Bottom line, the mention that "you have to pay $15 extra to make sure it it is not DOA. " is a bit misleading. You don't have to pay it at all if you don't want to. As with any company, you takes your chances.
I am not a big fan of Directron either. Just was curious after your remark and decided to investigate a bit.
