My remote to access the front gate broke a few months back, no biggie at the time since i had homelink in my car (which was programmable)

Well i no longer have the old car and now need to replace the keychain remote... Any ideas where i can get one that can learn the commands from my old one?

if the old one is broke how would you "teach" the new one? you need a signal to duplicate it...

the plastic loop that holds it onto my keys broke, not the unit itself

Ask the gatekeeper for another one?

It's automated with a callbox and i am not spending $275 for another one from the developer.

Take it apart and make a new casing out of aluminum that won't break.

yeah but you dont own the gate...the gatekeeper does, so he must own the fob as well, so when you return it to him (when you sell your townhouse) he'll probobly charge you for it being broken, and most likely (because they can) they will charge you the $275...
