I went up to Yosemite last week, and in the small towns around there, $3.59 was the CHEAPEST regular I saw. $3.69 and up were MUCH more common.

Yep, right after they just said they all of a sudden have no problem cranking out gas especially with the highest oil invenotry in 8 yrs and Bush relaxed the fuel blends.

Price Profiting for Memorial Day plain and simple and the American idiots accept it willingly.

Even though inventories and output is up, worries remain.

US oil executive shot dead in Nigeria! :Q

Oil fell early on increased supplies.

"There's a lot more involved in prices than just supply and demand."

Yes, greed and price gouging.

Up another 20 cents today to $3.39

Good news--we here in Pennsylvania just got our first place that sells E85...will sell for around 10 cents less per gallon than plain old gasoline and have the added bonus of getting 15-30% lower gas mileage to boot!

I wonder how many saps ADM already have on the hook...

Ever wonder why every once in a while, some gas station will attempt to offer cheaper gas and immediately upon doing so, lawsuits are threatened, the station owner put back in line and the station's prices going back to normal? I've seen similar suits brought against the RIAA for the exact same thing. It's called price-fixing. Why is it any different when the commodity is gasoline?

5-11-2006 Expensive gas? Cost is no concern in Beverly Hills for the rich

BEVERLY HILLS, California - A couple of attendants washed the windows, checked the tires and pumped $4.299-a-gallon premium into a behemoth Cadillac Escalade as digit counters zoomed toward $100.

"I don't even look at the price," said the SUV driver, Michele Best of Beverly Hills, at the full-service pumps of a throwback gas station with very modern prices.

"Don't tell my husband." "It's $98.55, for 22.9 gallons," said Best.

Dale Boyett, president of Modesto, California-based independent fuel wholesaler and retailer Boyett Petroleum.

Boyett says Big Oil is getting its share, but energy has become "the latest Internet bubble ... and it makes no sense.

It's not tied to the (supply-and-demand) fundamentals."

As the Cadillac Escalade in Beverly Hills filled up for almost $100, a Venezuelan cab driver this week filled his 1976 Chevy Nova for $2.30 at only 12 cents per gallon.

Venezuela is an oil producing nation where the government is heavily subsidizing (about 8% of its GDP) its gas.

That's my greatest fear...we're not going to see anything more than half-assed efforts (at best) to invest in alternative energy until the rich are sick and tired of paying through the nose for it. I don't even know if $20 a gallon is enough (probably a tax write off for them)

Dont see how Gas can be $4.00 a gallon. Not even $3.00 here. Do they have a lot of tax on gas in california or what?

There is plenty of Oil off the coast of California.
