Gas Stations in Atlanta

I had to get some gas today in Atlanta, I actually had an empty tank, but a lot of the stations were closed and crowded. I found one that still had gas by my house but it was over $3 a gallon and it was totally packed with crazed people. I wonder how long this is going to last.

I do remember on 9/11 or the day after gas prices were over $5, but then things went back to normal pretty quick. Everyone with half a tank of gas would start to panic and fill their tank and every gascan they had to make sure they had as much as they could get.

Damn, gotta give the old mtn bike a tune up this weekend. Good thing I live within a reasonable distance of everywhere I need to go.

What do you expect?

The only other option is organized panic, which isnt that much better as it results in organized looting and if things are bad enough, small militias.

This is what it would be like if the US was ever attacked (by something other than airplanes).

It's easy to sit back and call it mindless, but I can guarentee you it isn't mindless to the people going through it. They are in survival mode.
