gas range makes pulsating/pulsing sound

Just a couple days ago, my gas range started to make a pulsing/pulsating sound when I turn it on. the range still works fine, but it's just making a pulsing noise (maybe the gas is not flowing correctly?).

Any idea what it is and how to fix it? Want to make sure it's not something dangerous.

Gas flow is the first thing that comes to mind. Make sure that the covers over the burners are seated correctly. On ours each burner has a fluted aluminum piece that sits over the gas outlet and directs the flow, and they can easily be dislodged.
