Appearently, ALOT of people watch the news!

I work at a grocery store that has it´s own gas station and I was called out of the store at about 6 P.M. central and what I saw when I went outside was unbelievable!!!!

HUNDREDS of vehicles packing the parking lot just trying to get gas at $2.49 a gallon.

There was soo much chaos as people were driving off without paying, fender benders, and ALOT of yelling and cussing.

They assigned me to security for the left side of the station. I wrote down licencse plate numbers of people who drove off (about 18) and directed vehicles to gas pumps.

Then at about 9 o´clock, we ran out of regular unleaded and unleaded plus.

So we charged $2.49 per gallon for Super Unleaded!!!!!!!! WHOA!!

This made people alot more happy and calmer. Until they found out the next little bit of information....

I got word from the store director that estimated gas prices tomorrow are going to be $3.23!!!

$3.23!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!

oof.

where do you live?

Big deal, all that to save a few bucks in the extremely short term? I suppose most people can't see farther than a couple days ahead.

I bet you if you put $.99 a gallon, and $3.99 for premium. and had 3 gas trucks near you. You'd still run out of gas 😀

Yes it is true.

I am 80 miles sout of Houston. Our entire oil supply has been cut off by Katrina. We are having another company ship 9,000 gallons of gas to our store tomorrow. But it will cost us alot.

This price should hold until oil shipments continue through Louisiana.

I love how people will waste hours upon hours of precious life they can't get back just to save a few bucks on gas.

Way to set your priorities, dorks.

Wow, thats a huge hike in prices. Didn't the cost per barrel of crude oil drop in price today even?

No, it is up to $68.28 from Bloomberg.

We have to buy from the 3rd person. Meaning it will cost us alot more that buying from the 1st person.

Last night (before the Hurricane actually hit) Crude Oil was over 70 a barrel.

It didn't close at the highs of the day, but it's still up overall by $1.07 to $67.20.

My car runs on old banana peels and aluminum cans. I have a Mr. Fusion in the back of my RSX-S. Totally sweet at times like this.

Line up for hours for $2.49 a gallon? I drove past one Exxon gas station last night and the price was $2.46 a gallon.

Folks are so dumb because they wait and wait for hours to save a buck or two <less than minimum wage salary and wear and tear and more gas while iddling>.

go to co-ops and cardlocks and get marine gas. if you own land get farm plates for your truck. aside from that, use jerry cans and fill up then go around the block and dump it into your truck. I'm saving like 25-30cents/litre- no tax and cheaper than the pump.
