Gas Price @ $3.00

or

Fox News Coverage

I did a quick estimate.

Current gas price:
-Premium Unleaded: $2.50
-Total to fill up: 13.2 gallons * $2.50 = $33 FULL TANK
-Let's say you fill up once a week for a month: $33 * 4 = $132

Future Gas Price:
-Premium Unleaded: $3.00~$3.30???
-Total to fill up: 13.2 gallons * $3.00 = $39.60
13.2 gallons * $3.30 = $43.56
-Let's say you fill up once a week for a month: $39.60 * 4 = $158.40
or $43.56 * 4 = $174.24

Total Difference
$26.40 ($3.00/gal) more you have to pay
-or-
$42.24 ($3.30/gal) per month. So pretty much, it's like not going out on a date once with your girl.

These are just estimates people. Don't take it too seriously.

We need better public transportation. Some parts of Europe have prices in the $5 range, and they don't sweat it too much- cars are used completely differently over there. They have a great PT system, and more urban people don't even need a car at all.

When you say under $2, are you talking about regular? Which is like $1.87 - $1.98 in most places? Or are you referring to Plus and Premium grades?

The article said to expect $2.15 a gallon, on average. Where did $2.50 and $3.00 come from?

I'm glad the wife drives about 3K mi/yr. now as opposed to the 35K mi. she did last year.

Maybe, I'll drive the Escort to work rather than my pickup once I move to the outer burbs.

Yeah, they only get raped at the pumps by their governments. Why shouldn't they be happy?

OTOH, the cost of gas in the US is subsidized by "police" actions in middle east. Not to mention that these near unfriendly/borderline facist/ideologically opposed countries often use their petro dollars to buy stakes in our businesses/economy/weapons to wage war against everyone.

Something to think about the next time you get a paycheck and shows your federal tax withholdings.

Are you stupid. It says crude oil could go up 3.00.$3.00 per barrell, could you imagine paying 3 dollars MORE for crude oil. Learn to read

All I got to say is if we as a whole want to have the prices to come down we need to have the equivilant of a sit in. For a week none of us goes to work or drives anywhere at all.

That will tell them we are not playing around for sure. Could you amagine how much the economy and the oil companies would loose if the majority of the world did this to say enough is enough.

I have 2 kids and my wife works and I am disabled. we have no money after my wifes check is done. If gas prices go up we would be screwed. I would have to take the milk my and food from my kids mouths so my wife could go to work.

Its bad enough the milk company all of a sudden starts to advertise (like they needed to in the first place who the hell has never heard of or useed milk to warrent advertising it) and rases the milk upwards of $2.50-$3 gallon. I had to quit drinking it. I havent had a glass a milk in years.

Now gas is going to go way up I bet Bush family is very happy right now trying to make the finnal kill his last year in service before he goes.

OH I am just so pissed and can rant for ever right now.

Although my car gets 26/mpg, I think I'll be driving my motorcycle quite a bit more this year.

Fortunately our Honda Accord I-4 is fuel efficient and we only drive ~6,000 miles per year.

Our next car will most likely be a hybrid but that's still 5-10 years away.
