What am I doing wrong? Someone help me! I don't want to be the only one who didn't pay extra for gas this weekend!!
Update: Drove my by local gas station on my way home from work last night. The prices were the lowest I've seen all year. There weren't any lines, I pulled right in to my usual pump and started filling up. I probably didn't need gas till Tuesday or Wednesday but I topped off since I didn't want to miss the Great Gas Panic of '08.
The pump kept auto-stopping, but I pushed it further. It kept stopping and I kept starting it again, but I failed. I got it up to $30.00 of premium. I didn't get anywhere near my record of a $45 for a fill up with the expensive stuff.
How am I going to show my face when prices go down next week? I won't be able to look at myself in the mirror when people realize they created their own high prices by panicing at the pump. I fail at getting price gouged.
