Gas powered scooter

My 14 year old son is convinced he needs a gas powered scooter. Can anyone suggest a REPUTABLE on-line vendor? Local retailers are considerably higher than on-line(even with shipping).

Any other tips would be appreciated as I'm not yet convinced he needs one.
