Indian reservation nearby... cheap gas prices.

I happened to be almost out of gas on the way home the other day, so I *had* to go to the reservation gas station to avoid running out of gas.

2 lines for self-serve... wait was about 10 minutes for each line.
2 lines for full-service... no one in line.

wtf, people, it's only 2 friggin cents more per gallon!!

I'm amazed that people would wait for 10 or 15 minutes to avoid paying less than 50 cents more. Well, maybe for big SUV's or pickups, it would amount to 60 cents. Isn't their time worth anything to them??

Anyway, thanks idiots. That saved me from waiting at either line.

Maybe they feel white liberal guilt and want to support the injuns?

People are stupid. Have you not seen those gotards on TV pumping their Tahoe full of gas and wimpering about gas prices? News Flash turd nuggets: Gas is still wicked cheap even after the increase in price.

it's not that...

at the Indian station, they have 2 pumps:
1 is for self-serve
1 is for full-serve

Self-serve: 203.9 per gallon
Full-serve: 205.9 per gallon

They'll wait in line (2 lines) 6 or 7 cars deep for as long as 15 minutes just to save 2 cents per gallon.

If they'd pull into the full-serve, there is NO line! They could just pull up to the pump, fill the tank, pay, leave.

Wow, that's really cheap...you'd think if you're already saving THAT much by going to the reservation, you wouldn't mind the extra 2 cents.

Then again, I guess if you can waste the time it takes to drive all the way out there, you might as well waste more time to save even more money.

I agree with you. People would rather turn their car around to the opposite side of the street to save 2 cents per gallon... that's a quarter dude... you're gonna have to wait for lights and another u-turn to get back in the same direction you were going before this... a quarter's worth of gas is probably already burned by that.

Same thing here, our local Costco is about 10 cents cheaper than the regular stations. The lines are really long. But, to think, these are the people who are probably rich. They save where they can, they're called FERENGI (sp?). :) :cough: RossMan :cough:

A couple weeks ago it was $2.55 here. $2 even is cheap by comparison.

People are stupid and as such do stupid things. I hate the lot of them--well, damn near the lot.

It's not even out of the way! Well, slightly for me... about 1 mile side trip. Then again, it's a mile side trip to go to the gas station in the village, so the distance is the same. But, a lot of these people have little cottages on the local lake... one small corner of the lake is on a reservation. So, they're pretty much right next to the reservation - it'd be farther to go to another gas station.

My nearest CostCo which sells gas is a good 45 minute drive away, no thanks.

And this coming from the guy that will spend $300 on something he doesn't need or really even want just cause he can save $20 on it. Comeon it's 10cents a gallon!

Was the price for full-serve visible to all, or only when you got to the pump? In most cases, the difference in cost bet. full and self-serve is more like 10 cents/gallon, which does add up to some decent savings of $1.50 or more. However, if it was visible to all that it was only a 2 cent difference, then yeah, it's silly to wait in line so long.
