You could also get a free car that way, while the person is paying for the gas. This way big oil isn't mad at you.

Or you could get chased by the owner of the gas station and then ran over like what happened a week ago or so. :p

Remember, the gas station owners are not making much in the first place. Yet we are now getting a$$hats that are doing this more and more. And the only person who gets burned is at the very bottom of this large food chain. The oil companies don't feel any of this theft at all since they already got their billions of dollars.

actually the more gas goes up, the more they make on gas sales. The convenience store I used to manage made a flat 9% on the price from the time gas went up, not to mention if we only bought 2000gal. one week and the price went up $0.05 they also made the extra on whatever sold that was still in the tank that we paid a lower price on the previous week. when prices went down, it wasn't reflected until the next week ensuring none was sold at a lower than 9% rate. pretty much everytime gases go up, convenience stores make more profits on the sale of gas.

once apon a time we made next to nothing on gas sales (when it was $.95 a gallon) and we didn't even really care when people didn't pay for thier gas, once gas hit $1.25 we started requiring pay first policies. most of the money in convenience stores came from the sales of soda, beer, and cigarettes. the rising prices of gas are slowly causing gas profits to equalize with goods sales.
