gas Cape Girardeau, Missouri 98.9 cts a gallon

By the way I'm not joking, these to gas stations got into a price war and gas at the two stations is 99.9 and 98.9. Also gas elsewhere in the town is about 1.09 or so which is alot better than I'm hearing on here,

I think the reason it is so cheap is because we are right on the mississipi, about at the merging of it and the Ohio river, and their is a lot of oil refinerys and alot of oil shipping comes through here on its way to the rest of the midwest.

I live a little west of Cape Girardeau and make it a point to always fill up in either Cape or Jackson. I bet the owners of all the other gas stations are hating life because of the Basic Gas stations, LOL. Nice to see some locals on the forums!

hey, i live in bubblefuk, misery, and the gas here is a quarter a gallon. yeah, it needs to be that cheap so we can get to the closest bathroom for under a dollar. pretty sweet, they just put a hometown buffet in bubblefuk... i'm rated!

I'm not in Cape Girardeau right now, I'm in Eminence, MO., But I called cape and heard about the bad storms. Did you guys get any last week, a tree fell on my friends car, almost crushed him, lucky Ba$tard.

Oldie but a goodie.....I lived in Cape for four years going to SEMO. During that time I never paid more than 25 cents a gallon for gas....it seems there were several stations north of town that had constant price wars that continued for years. Best thing about cape....RUSH. Worst thing about cape..... sorry SEMO.
