I gotta hand it to the advertising agency that came up with Gears of War ad. As soon as I saw the commerical I couldn't stop watching. Such a contrast between the audio and video.

No, seriously, Jules is right.

If you want to get really technical, welcome to 23 years ago. Mad World is a Tear for Fears song from 83 IIRC.

Just watched it again. The song started and it felt alright. Then, the camera moves to his family...

Maggie Gyllenhaal looks exactly how a girl who lost her brother should look like.
The actors who play his parents: priceless.

This song is amazing.

Certainly up there with Rage Against the Machine - Beautiful World as the best cover ever.

It's one of the few that is better than the original. not that the Tears for Fears version is all that bad.

I say it's up there with Stevie Ray Vaughn's cover of "Little Wing."

I've never heard the Rage version. Anyone want to help me fix that? Didn't see it on youtube at first glance... I did find this rendition though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bwpef-waxdY

For some reason I found it touching because it brought back memories, but at the same time was also very fitting for the storyline. God that was a long time ago... I wonder if I still have a copy aorund here somewhere...
