Gary Jules - Mad World

One of those songs that makes you want to kill yourself? Not because it's bad, but because it's so good.

Was it the most perfect song for Donnie Darko or what?

Also, I've never seen Donnie Darko, should I?

I OWN IT 😱 Directors special edition, or something like that. I'll admit that I not only watch the movie because it awesome, but the lead isn't too bad looking either 😛

Yeah I always watch the scene after Donnie dies where it shows everyone's reaction over and over again because I love the song.

Its a good song.

I lived with a guy that played it 24/7 for about a month straight. I went from liking it, to a long period of hating the crap out of it. I like it now though.

How old are you? If you're in high school you'll love that movie. Otherwise it is okay. I picked up the DVD for $12.99 or something like that on sale about a year ago and I've only watched the movie once.

Great song though. Try listening to the original by Tears for Fears and then listen to the Gary Jules version. Same melody, same lyrics but the song has a completely different feel. I like them both actually. I like to think that the Gary Jules version is more of how Tears for Fears envisioned it but marketing and the 80s twisted it into the version that was released by TFF.
