It is a good trend.
People say to vote for a 3rd party, you're just throwing your vote away. I completely disagree. If the 2 parties are disappointing you, and during an election neither candidate is what you want, then it is still good to make a statement.
Maybe by next election, that 1% will grow into something more.
GJ is still young and in incredible shape. He'll still be able to make a run 20 years from now. It's a matter of getting the populace to open up to the idea of a 3rd party and growing tired of voting lesser of two evils.
The Libertarian party made a good run. They got on the ballots. Christ, on almost everybody's ballot, it read Obama, Romney, Johnson as the top 3.
If Johnson tries again, he's going to have a much fatter rolodex to call on next time around, and much more experience at running. More Ron Paul fans will have moved over to his camp, etc.
I could see him getting the 5% next time.
