This is well worth the money, especially if you have a steeply sloping windshield. My garmin used to fall off a lot especially in the winter and it was a PIA to hide it when out of car (suction cup marks on windshield are a dead giveaway).

I've had mine for about a year and a half and use it in several cars. It has never slide at all on this friction pad.

This is one of those things where after you get it you kick yourself for not getting it years earlier and this is about as low as I've seen it's price.
