Is there anyway to use pc based software to pick out way points/points of interest/favorites on the pc and then download it to the Nuvi?

I got the Nuvi 350 for the wife and she loves it, but I see her setting these up before she gets to a city on the Nuvi and it's not too hard, but I have to believe that doing it on goggle maps/yahoo maps/msn/rand mcnally would be easier then just downloading the address would speed things up.

I looked on the garmin website and found the poiloader (point of interest), but it doesn't tell you where you're going to get these points of interest and how you're going to save them. I mean, does it just want have me save a txt file and download that?

You will need to get your self a copy of trip and waypoint manager by garmin. It uses the mapquest engine to transfer files back and forth.
