Hmmm.... I'm not in the market for a GPS, but checked it out anyhow.

Seems that the battery compartment and it's waterproof-ness is a problem. Battery life also.

I'm pretty confident I could modify the compartment to make it water proof, heck seal the batteries and use solid wire leads is one thought.

But standard batteries last 20 hours..... many units I've read about this isn't an issue.

Any cheap GPS system for Ipaq? The lowest one I can found is 199 in mobileplant.com

I wonder if these are being discontinued.

I bought it at $70 for my son-in-law who wants to use it for geocaching with the grandkids.
