Does this include the MetroGuide ? Doesn't sound like it does with the description OPTIONAL...
If not, then it's not too hot of a deal..
Etronics.com has it for $229 + $9 shipping
Vanns.com has it for $235 + free shipping
Probably no sales tax either.

eMap Deluxe - come with Cable and 8 Meg memory card
Then there are people that do eMap Deluxe with memory card and Metro Guide

No, GPS signals are broadcast by U.S. Government satellites and all you need is a receiver..no fees for use.

GPS is really great! I tested a Magellan unit from Best Buy out at when it worked, it was VERY useful when combines with MS Streets & Trips 2001

hehehe.... I use SkyMap PCMCIA GPS unit w/MS-Streets n' trips on my laptop....works great.

Only paid $20 for the thing...use it all the time when traveling around....
