Garbled Video Pic
The above pick is from my current display. The ATI 9800 pro is new. I only had it in about 5-6 hours before suddenly those horizontal garbled video streaks started to appear. Everything was working fine at first.
I hooked up a different computer to make sure it wasn't a monitor problem, I also installed another AGP card in the first computer to make sure it wasn't a motherboard or other component problem. Both the monitor and replacement video card worked fine.
I also know it isn't just a video driver problem, since the ASUS boot up logo is garbled too.
Now I assume it is the 9800 card, which isn't a big issue since I can easily RMA it, but my question is has anyone else encountered a similar problem? Did something fry the video card? Did it get too hot? Is there some BIOS setting that is set wrong?
