I got a text message last night, that was all garbled up. Is there anyway to decode it?

Hopefully you remembered to wear that condom last night, or else you got the AIDS now. :(

I guess my real question is:

Is it possible for it to be figured out? Or is it totally lost in the air?

I did read the link, and i know who it was sent from and she is not a hacker. hahaha

EDIT-

and read the real, full, link:
http://www.forbes.com/2009/07/...-security-hackers.html

It would have been just a single character. And this happened yesterday, before the vulnerability was made known.

Dude.

The whole thing about this hack is that you get full control of the phone. Once you have control of a single phone, you could expect by texting everyone in that phone's address book. Anyone who gets infected with this will likely be hacked by a "friend".

It doesn't necessarily have to just be a single character.

If it happened yesterday then you're probably OK. Still though.

Yea, it can be whatever you want it to be.

A perfect hack shows NOTHING on your phone. The initial hack was off slightly, displaying a single character. I am willing to bet that a poorly designed, but nonetheless functional hack could show all the random characters you listed. It is the phone displaying 500+ texts in a horribly buggy, buffer overflow manner.

Ok...let me be more specific.

I was having a texting conversation with a girl.

We'd been going back and forth for a while.

Then i get that

I write back, "Whoa! haha...look at what your text message looked like" and sent it to her

she wrote back and said "that is so weird"
and then followed up with "i guess some of my messages are just too cryptic for you. guess you'll never know what i was saying! ;)"

and that was that

it was NOT a hack. lol. the phone has been working fine.
