My chip does 1200 no problem, so I thought I would try 8x150 instead of 9x133.

Well, no go. It will post, but the graphics are heavily, heavily garbled, and if I attempt to get into the BIOS, all I get is a blank screen.

GeForce DDR @ 4X AGP, default clock
SB Live
Adaptec 2930C
512MB PC133 (has done 150 in the past, no prob)
T-Bird 1G @ 1200

Mine runs no problem at 150MHz. I have some of the Infineon Compuwiz1 ram, at cas2. Maybe lower your cas level if you haven't tried that. I have been running mine now for three weeks at 6x150MHz and it runs solid. Maybe your particular chipset won't do it.

Try running AGP 2X instead (Thats only about .05% video card performance loss) and the higher FSB will more then make it up.
