Will never work in the US.

1) Still requires driver intervention and competence enough to park the vehicle in the stall correctly before the automated process can even begin. This alone will never happen in the US, traffic will be backed up waiting for parking while all the stalls have red lights and "Please wait for valet assistance" banners flashing everywhere.

2) Requires you to use a computer. Retarded or just plain inconsiderate and oblivious idiots in the US can't even handle ATMs and self checkout at the grocery store without holding up a line. Even still it doesn't matter: When I'm at one of those things and not being a screw off I'm going as fast as I can and always get held up waiting for the computer to run through all the mandatory speech "Do you have this? do you have that? do you need this? for english press 2. Do you want a car wash? Do you want cash back? Do you want a hand job? Please slow down entering pin, I'm a 6502 1 Mhz and not multi touch capable" crap when I was ready to pay for my $.99 box of tooth paste 5 minutes ago. But then again, I go back to what I originally say: all that BS and hand holding crap is there because of stupid people.

But it would be total giggles though if you parked a Ferrari, and were delivered a Hyundai.

Imagine if you forgot your kid or dog in the car with the windows down.

I wonder what the cost per space is? I'd be willing to bet it's in the 100k range.

They're not steelies, but rather plain alloy wheels. There are many plain designs on Mercedes that you won't get in NA, simply because of the cult of Bling. Also, BMW and Mercedes do "run of the mill" versions of all their cars, rather than all models sold being something to park on your drive just to show off to the neigbours. It's actually pretty cool, as you get a kick ass car/engineering, but don't have to be a Cxx level employee to own one.

Anyway, all E class Mercedes are Taxis.
