Hey ZV and fellow Garage readers!

I think with the success of our garage forum (thanks ZV and the regular cadre of contributors and enthusiasts!), we could do with a FAQ sticky to help with the weekly influx of posters showing up with problems.

Of course the details aren't entire, but I think something like this should be a decent template for helping people get their issues diagnosed :

What year is your car?
What mileage and configuration, if known (Engine, Transmission)
How long has the problem been occurring?
Is it repeatable?
Has any service been done recently?

And so on, with the usual applicable details.

Maybe a short comment on proper garage etiquette, such as no flaming of other member rides, etc.

What say you, Garage members?

Yeah, that used to be a sticky, no clue where it went.

Heh, guess I had a brain-fart, or I have the memory of a goldfish. That sounds really familiar, but I just somehow forgot that it existed :)

Yeah, I am fully aware of the weak spots in the Focus. I'm just glad that the important stuff for an economy car (comfort, fuel economy, handling, reliability) are spot-on. The hard plastic interior on the door, glove box, etc, pretty much sucks, but the gauges, shifter, center console, and seats are pretty good IMHO, certainly a step above the old Foci, and I still prefer it over the Cobalt (though the SS is a pretty wild child).

I was kidding
I actually don't like new car smell, we had a new Sebring brought in the pool at work and I couldn't drive it for a yr til it aired out.
My wife just put new floor mats 'stinky floor mats' in the Versa that I avoid too
