I think 16 is the age of consent, and you can vote at 19 year old.
This is correct. 16 is the age of consent and 19 is the age of majority in BC (e.g. drinking, voting, buying tobacco etc.)
So what's with all the minor posts then if it's the legal age?
The point is that the pictures/videos of the incident constitute pornography. Even though the age of consent is 16, there is a minimum age of 18 to give consent to be a participant in pornographic material. Since the girl is under 18, this is child pornography.
Essentially, multiple guys gang-banging a 16 year old girl with her consent, (whether you find that arousing or disgusting) is legal. If it's recorded though, it's child porn. And if it's done without her consent (as seems to be the case here), it's rape/sexual assault. Here it's without consent and recorded, so it's both rape and child porn.

I'm going to remain skeptical about this situation. Police are more likely going after the people because of the child porn charge. Confirming rape is very difficult.
