Gamma via vidcard

when i play counterstrike i can't see crap in the tunnels (like in de_dust). I turned gamma all the way up (3.00 is max for game) through the game software. Is there anyway i can turn it up higher via my vidcard? i have an ati 9500 softmod to 9700.
