Gamma correction for nvidia cards

Okay, is there a utility that will allow me to change the gamma of OpenGL and Direct3D games without changing the desktop gamma?? Just like 3DFX used to have. This is the thing that pisses me off about this video card. I have a Gainward GF3 Ti200 card and ever since I installed it, the gamma has always been too dark.

Even with the ingame gamma settings at their max, games like Counter Strike are unplayable. I also use the Color Correction tab in their drivers but once I enter a game, it reverts back to 1.00 value for gamma. Geez, I never get gamma problems with my Radeon cards.

Any ideas?

Use the QuickTweak utility that comes with the drivers. Granted it does change your desktop gamma but you can use it to quickly brighten the system just before you launch a game and then when you quit you can quickly set it back to normal.
