Gaming with 3 LCD panels?

SLI or Crossfire we know the story.

Let us say on a motherboard we can have 3 Cards instead of 2. How about this setup:
Each card will accelerate and play on a single panel @ 1920x1080.

The 3 panels are: Front, left (-45degree) and right(+45 degree) in this configuration: / --

The idea is to give the player a Panaromic filed of view that does apprach the normal field of view of the humman being.

The thing that you see in Commerical Flight SImulator. That would be way cool!

I read somewhere you can do this with current SLI - but of course not in 'sli' (parallel GPU) mode. In non-SLI, can't you do up to 4?

I wonder if anyone has tried to benchmark this setup

3 dispays would be the ultimate that's for sure. They need to seriously start working on this so it's very accessible for everyone. LCD's are getting a lot cheaper and I'd imagine some day soon a lot of people are going to want to game like that.

Yeah Something like that Radius 320 Display!

Also, the game should support such monitor by "wrapping" the image on the left and the right panels to make the 3D rendering more appealing. And, yeah we may need 3-5X more powerful graphics card to support 6Megapixels displays.

The price is crazy to do this In my old house I built a 120" projector for around $300.00 I play at 1024x768 x 33FPS. Limitation of the panel I used but It can be expanded to use 12ms panels but I am waiting till they are nearly double that and even higher resolution.
I set game dimensions to as high as some visual perspectives allow after all when your 8ft from a 10Foot image its like panoramic. The cool part is using such a large projection image makes the game significantly more immersive than a couple of monitors on a desktop. Watch out sever motion sickness occurs especially in halo in the warthog.

The big holdup is the games are not written with widescreen or multimonitors in mind. Otherwise my 3 monitor config would have be golden.

It can be done but at a very high cost. Or as simple as a projector.
