The biggest question is: what will you be putting onto that motherboard? This question encompasses a lot of details: Do you see yourself going down the SLI/CFX path, or will you stick with a single card? Will you want a sound card? A Wifi card? Do you want to overclock the CPU? Can you even overclock your CPU?

Other considerations include price, port selection, and availability of fan/USB headers.

No SLI, No sound card, no wifi and not planning to overclock

Would like to keep it around $100 bucks or so

Well, you have very low requirements, which is good for low budgets. You can get a basic 16x PCIe 3.0 motherboard that supports Ivy Bridge and Sandy Bridge for as little as $60. Here's a slightly more upscale one with USB 3.0 and 4 RAM slots for $70.

Hey thanks, I just went with the ASRock board for 90 bucks plus the shipping, hopefully it pans out.
