Just a reminder this thread is for Gaming setups, which means Monitor + Keyboard + Desk + basically the entire package where you sit to game..

All pictures which relate to the PC / Box itself should go into the cases and cooling showcase here:

Most of my system is dedicated to audio lol. PC ain't bad either though. Dynaudio C1 MK2 speakers during the day, Sennheiser HD800S headphones at night. I use a launch PS3 to rip SACDs for music playback.

It's nice to see a proper two channel setup. It's pretty rare these days.

I wanna get pics of my setup on here, except my place is kinda messy.

Currently here is what I am running, this is not including the wifes setup. We recently moved into the living room which is massive.

Anyway here we go.
Marbled faux countered top desk with keyboard tray, pretty large size.
Asus VG24QE Monitor, Razer Black Widow Ultimate Keyboard, Logitech G500 mouse, SteelSeries Siberia v2 black headset, Steel Series QCK+ Mouse Pad, Logitech Z906 5.1 THX Certified Surround Sound aka 2 front speakers + center + 2 rear speakers and a sub under my feet =P.

PC Components
Case- Corsair Obsidian 900D
CPU- Intel 4790k at 4.5ghz
Watercooling - NZXT Kraken x61 240mm radiator I believe it is.
Motherboard - Asus maximus vii hero
Ram - Swapping this week but currently 2x4gb aka 8GB Dual channel gskill sniper 2133 c11, currently run them at 2400mhz rock stable. Giving them to the wife and going to 16gb though.
GPU - Gigabyte g1 gaming gtx 1080 pascal overclocked to 2088 to 2100 depending on boost. Temps are extremely low with there cooler, I love it.
Power Supply - Corsair TX750V2
Storage - Samsung 512GB 850 PRO SSD, Crucial m4 256GB SSD, 500gb 7200rpm HDD.
Fans - 3 intake corsair fans, 1 rear exhaust corsair 4, 2 nzxt fans on the bottom of the radiator and 4 scythe ultra kazes on the top of the case at 100% rpm.
Lighting - 2 White cold cathodes to keep the case illuminated at night. Motherboard, Cooler and Video card are all illuminated red. Looks really clean with the black/red theme going on with some nice white lighting.

I will take some pics and get everything up later on this week once I get the place cleaned up, it's extremely messy =P. It's not the best setup by any means, but it's mine and I am proud of it :)

My desk is extremely messy. I wouldn't subject you guys to it.

I game on an Asus G751 laptop and my audio is handled by an old Sony receiver and a pair of old 3-way tower speakers. A proper 2.0 setup that plays low and loud, and games sound amazing on it.

The laptop has an i7-4720, overclocked GTX970m 3gb and 22gb ram with a 17" G-Sync display.

I see a lot of pics where they flip the speakers upside down like you. Is there a benefit to this or just personal preference on how it looks?

Those speakers are not flipped, they were designed with the tweeter below the woofer.

ah, ok.

did some googling and it seems some flip them so that the tweeter can be aligned with their ears if they are on an elevated platform. no benefits from simply turning them upside down, which i assumed was the case.

If you flip speakers on a desktop setting, the advantage is to avoid boundary reflections from the surface the table. Low and mid frequency signals expand in all directions, whereas higher frequency sounds, say in the 4k+ range, start to narrow in dispersion and start beaming more like a laser. So in a nearfield desktop or mixing environment, it's generally better to have the tweeter below the woofer for this reason, since the tweeter's output won't get mixed in with reflections as much. Dynaudio's Contour and Confidence lines however have this orientation by default.

But i redid my gaming setup.

20210618-182603.jpg

Components:
Eureka Motorized Desk.
Staples Ayalon Office Chair

Monitors:
Top: LG 34UM88C 34' QHD (IPS.)
Bottom: Alienware 38' AW3821DW Gsync Ultimate. (Nano IPS)
Side: Monoprice 32' 4K Crystal Pro (IPS)

SoundBar:
Definitive Technology W Studio with Subwoofer.

Audio Gear on shelf:
S.M.S.L m300 DAC
S.M.S.L SP200 THX-888 Balanced Headphone Jack.
Samson Mic.

Input devices:
Logitech G910
Logitech G13
Logitech G502 HERO

Things i want to add... i am thinking of moving the 43' ASUS SWIFT PG43UQ display i have over to the side, but i think i will be sandwiched too much by monitors.

This guy: (also my old retired desk.)

and yes i am forever stuck on ultrawides.... you really miss that extra side realestate after a while, which is why i went back and shelf'd the asus over to workout room.

Nice setup, I have a G13 and the same keyboard too. The G13 is the best gaming peripheral ever made.

agreed unfortunately logitech has a stick up there butt thinking esports is the future, and every gamer is esports.
So we will probably never get a mechanical refresh of it. Which i would buy one without batting an eye if it ever did come out.

Off topic but related.
Friend is going to be bed/couch living for some time. Any Bluetooth mouse recommendations?
His machine will be in the same room around 8 feet away but blocked by some furniture.
I’m thinking BT as opposed to wireless is the way to go.
I generally have bad luck with wireless things so I’ve stopped following them.
