hey all, i was wondering if any other brands sold routers like the dlink DGL-4100
D-Link DGL 4100
. i have vonage and when som1 uses the phone, my ping goes through the roof. i see that the D-link has a lot of special features including "port priority" if u will. i know zyXEL uses this technology on their routers, but they r a new company and haven't really seen many reviews for their products. the only thing holding me back on the d-link unit is the price, around 90 and 145 for wired and wireless respectively. i have the D-Link DI-624 router, so i trust D-Link and they truly build nice products. i need a router that supports some sort of port allocation, ie the game fuel technology. i need individual ports to have priority over others so i can game and talk at the same time. currently i don't have this feature, just the ability to assign ports. i need to assign bandwidth to each port, like the game fuel technology from d-link.
*** the router/switch must have the ability to assign priority to ports or assign bandwith to certain ports***
i guess what i am asking is what other manufactures use this "port priority" technology, because it would really help me out and not make my ping go sky high when gaming and talking!!! thnx
